Guidelines for this years Animaritime art contest Starting May 24, 2025 and closing June 24, 2025

After a long and fantastical adventure, Umi returned home with the Fire Element. But her joy quickly faded when she discovered the Elementals were nowhere to be found.

​

Determined to uncover the truth, Umi embarks on a perilous investigation. The trails are cold, the signs are hidden, and she feels that time is running out. The balance of the world is beginning to unravel, During her search, Umi stumbles into a forbidden glade—one shrouded in mist and myths.

There, she encounters a new figure: a mysterious wanderer with a deep connection to forgotten mysteries and hidden realms. This is where your role begins—as the artist, you are to create this new character.

You will have roughly 4 weeks to create and submit your artworks to artcontest@animaritime.org  or through google docs with the following Information:

Eligibility

• Your Full Name

• Valid email address

• Consent to voting is required

• Consent to grant Animaritime to use the character

• Must be an attendee of Animaritime

Artwork Rules

• Must have at least the absorption power (the ability to soak up or take in powers and elements, has the ability to feed of off types of energies or elements)

• The size of the companion must match the size elements of Animaritime (the size of the elements can ride on a person's shoulder or can sit in the both palms of someone’s hands, it is a cute mini version of their true selves, no taller than 7 inches in height)

• Title of Artwork

• Name of Character

• A small description of said character (likes, dislikes, etc.)

• ​

Judging will be based on public voting.

You must submit your artwork by the end of the day of June 24, 2025. All entries will be gathered and a link shared to the facebook page and discord channel for voting. There will be only a total of 3 winners through voting and 1 staff pick.

If you do not wish to have your artwork posted online for voting; then the entry will be disqualified. Please be sure that you are understanding of this when submitting your artwork.

The purpose of this contest is to create a new character for Animaritime, there is an art usage agreement where you will be obligated to sign if you are picked as the winner.

What is acceptable?

​

• Art can be in any medium. For example; digital, pastel, pencil, paint, etc.

• Only 1 artwork per applicant.

• Please note that the quality of image must be between 300 to 350 dpi resolution for digital and a clean scan or picture of your traditional art.

 

What is unacceptable?

​

• AI generated art will not be accepted as entries

• We do not accept physical copies, only digitally submitted pieces.

• Do not submit more than one art piece.

• It is prohibited to post nudity, rape, incest, explicit or sexual content. Your entry will be immediately disqualified.

• We will not accept late entries.
